53日目 cross-caltural exchange

Today, we had a cross-caltural exchange. We welcomed guests and introduced Japanese culture, and also they did about their country.

In my class, The guest, Emile who comes from Sierra Leone which is in the west of Africa. It was first time for me to hear the country name. He gave us the map made of some harvests that was gotten in the country. He explained about Sierrra Leone particulary. It was intresting.

Next period, we played JENGA and we made a original rule. We had desided the topics to discribe Japanese, for example historys, music, sports, sightseeing spots etc and put numbers each brocks. If the brock I picked was 1, I explain about No.1 topic that is history. According to the rule, he talked about Sierra Leone.

He taught us a lot about his country, but, indeed, I couldn't understand his talk less than 60%. He talked little bit quickly with some French accent. I didn't know what I should say. I keenly realized my poor English ability.  umm...

At last, all English class gathered and communicated with each other. There were 12 guests they come from different countrys. It was so exciting time. I tried to talk a lot with guests. I could enjoy the communicathions.

At night, I went Nepalese restaurant with my classmates and Fay&Dave! I probably already said  they are husband and wife, and both of them teach English in KTC. There were also Dave's class members. I spent lovely time with them. It was complete defferent from usual class. It was private time. Thank you Fay, Dave and all class members!!

Then, it was perfectly English day. Tha's why I wrote today's diary in English. I was exhausted. Thank you for your reading.
